Best Medicare Supplement Plan 2018

Best Medicare Supplement Plan 2018

Hi, Devon West here I run Medicare saving
solutions. In this video we’ll go over the Medicare supplement
plan F in the Medicare supplement plan G, and help you decide which one is best for
you, stay tuned. This is the standardized medicare supplement
table, it shows all of the plans that are available nationwide and it shows the coverages
of each one of them, the blank spaces in this table show you the gaps in these plans, these
gaps are the coverages that are missing in each plan, some have a lot of gases I’m have
none, the plan F Medicare supplement has zero gaps the plan G has on, if you take a closer
look at the plant f in the plan G alone you can see there is only one difference between
the two plans, both of them cover everything one hundred percent except for the plan G
medicare supplement does not cover the 166 dollar annual medicare part B deductible,
what that deductible is is that’s the first hundred and sixty six dollars in medical expenses,
you will have to pay out of your pocket first, before you plant Hickson your paste to the
rest, on the plane F that is covered on the plan G Medicare supplement that is not covered. So, that is the only difference between the
two plans that is that 166 dollar annual deductible, if the yearly cost of the medicare supplement
plan F is higher than one hundred and sixty six dollars over the year, then the medicare
supplement plan G then the medicare supplement plan G is the better option, if it’s not then
the medicare supplement plan F is your best here is a real example from Washington State,
I could give you a ton of different examples, but I won’t waste your time you probably want
you to finish the video if we did that. So, here are the numbers we find the lowest
cost plan F supplement Washington which is two hundred four dollars a month, and the
lowest cost plan gene Medicare supplement in Washington and that is 157 dollars per
month. So, what you do is you find the annual premium
which would be the monthly premium times 12, which is for the plan F that’s two hundred
and four dollars a month times 12, is two thousand four hundred and forty-eight dollars
a year, and then you get the plan G medicare supplement yearly rate and that would be 1
57 x 12 and that comes out to 1884. So, then you subtract 1884 from 2448, and
you get 564 dollars in savings and premiums. So, that’s just the premiums if you remember
you still have to take out the 166 dollar deductible to get the real savings. So, then you subtract 166 from 564. So, in this case that’s three hundred and
ninety-eight dollars in real savings, and it’s a no brainer there’s no reason why you’d
pay three hundred and ninety-eight dollars a year more to have the exact same coverage. I know this example is just from Washington
State, but this is true in most states across the country, if you compare the plaintiff
to the plan G, the plan G almost always comes out the better option, but that’s not always
the case in some cases the plan F will be less than hundred sixty six dollars more than
plan G over the year here. At Medicare saving solutions we are an independent
