Hydrophobic Soil & Wetting Agents (During Water Restrictions) | Jimboomba Turf

We had several people commenting on our last video who are currently under different levels of water restrictions. This means they can’t use a hose on pack like lawn rescue. But there is still an easy solution. To apply a wetting agent when under heavy water restrictions. You just need to get a product like Amgrow Wettasoil. Which is available from Bunnings, and a watering can. You just need to add 15ml of Wettasoil to the bucket or watering can. We’re using a watering can because it’s a little bit easier to apply. But you can use whatever you have at home. Then just fill your watering can to the 9l marker, it’s very important to always follow application rates when using any products with your lawn. And then simply apply the mixed solution over the affected area. Repeating if necessary. If a 9lt watering can is too heavy for you, when full. You can simply use less water. So for example, 5ml of Wettasoil mixed with 3 litres of water. This makes it easy for people of all ages to apply. If your area is currently under water restrictions. Then your lawn is more likely to need a wetting agent. Especially just before any significant rain event. Otherwise, when it finally does rain, too much of the water will be lost to run off and won’t be absorbed by the soil for your lawn to use. The great thing about the concentrate is that you can use it to refill any of your hose-on packs when water restrictions are finally lifted. This makes it something very handy to keep in your garden and lawn care kit bag!
