Welcome All to Salem Padma’s Samayal Today’s Recipe is pacha mochai(fresh Lima Beans) masala gravy Ingredients for Mochai gravy/Mochai Kulambu are 25 grams of mochai(lima beans) cooked in pressure cooker for 1 whistle Onions 2 chopped Tomato 4 nos chopped Garlic 10 nos Curry , coriander leaves Ginger -Garlic Paste 1 tsp 1/2 coconut grind to paste along with 1 cinnamon stick, 2 cloves, 1/4 tsp of funnel seeds Coriander powder 2 tsp Red Chili Powder 1 tsp 1/4 tsp turmeric powder For seasoning -mustard seeds & fennel seeds Lets see how to prepare mochai kulambu Heat a pan in a stove, add 3 tsp of cooking oil, Once oil boiled, add mustard and fennel seeds let it splutter then add chopped onions add curry leaves add garlic add bit of salt saute well Once onions got cooked, add ginger garlic paste saute until raw smell goes away add chopped tomatoes Close the pad with lid cook in medium flame for about 5 mins After 5 mins open the lid mash tomatoes nicely lets add spices powder Turmeric powder Red chilly powder Coriander powder add some water Close it with lid , cook for 5 mins after 5 mins add required salt for mochai gravy add grinded coconut paste and water Close with lid cook for 5 more mins add boiled mochai (lima beans) cook for another 3 more mins Finally add coriander leaves and switch off the stove Mochai kottai gravy is ready to serve Serve with Rice , Idli , Dosa , Chapathi as a side dish.
